The history of SEAT

Sociedad Española de Automóviles de Turismo

The SEAT company was founded on May 9, 1950 by the Spanish National Institute of Industry, a corporation of six banks and the Italian automotive concern FIAT. The first SEAT model was the 1400, which was produced under the license of the Fiat 1400. The production of the first vehicle began at the newly built Zona Franca factory in Barcelona.

León

Compact car, produced since 1999. The fourth generation of the model has been produced since 2019. León is the first classic compact hatchback presented by SEAT since its membership in Volkswagen. The car was created as a competitor of such models as Renault Megane or Fiat Brava.

Mii Electric

SEAT Mii Electric was presented for the first time in June 2019 in Oslo. This is the first serially produced electric car of the Spanish brand. Visually, it looks identical to the Mia petrol model (2011-2019). Only the cockpit was remodeled - the air conditioning panel and smartphone holder. In technical terms, however, the electric version replacing the previous classic variant is a completely new car. The car is powered by an 82 HP electric system with a maximum torque of 210 Nm. The battery has a capacity of 36.8 kWh and the maximum range is 260 HP. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h equals 12.5 seconds.

Tarraco

Tarraco is the first medium-sized SUV of the Spanish brand. The car is the third and also the last stage of the manufacturer's offensive in this class, after the compact Ateca and the urban Arona. The name 'Tarraco' was selected as part of the plebiscite. Internet users have chosen an emblem referring to the city of Tarragona in Spain from several proposals.
