My car went in for a simple MoT and service on Monday and, in spite of being told it would be delivered back to me on Wednesday, it is Thursday and still no sign of my car. There was no hesitation in grabbing by card details. Thoroughly abysmal service and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. It was finally delivered this morning. I had it cleaned before I sent in and it is meant to be valeted when it is returned and yet it looks as if someone's been taking it along dirt roads to judge from the dirt on the sills and lower door. The door is also scratched and dented. I can see why they grabbed my money so quickly and the delivery driver pushed the keys through the letterbox and scooted.

The Walnut Street Land Rover service office is amongst the worst I’ve been to, to get any car serviced. The person who dealt with me (has been dealing with me the last 3 years) is simply incompetent and couldn’t care less. They refused to fix a start/stop motor failure, said take the car away and see what happens! The next day, it failed. The AA managed to start it, but left a cover under the bonner open for me to access to start again. Despite several reminders, they forgot to put it back. When I pointed out and said it was sloppy, I didn’t get a ‘sorry’ I got an ‘Ok’! Prior to this, they’d had my car (a new Discovery Sport!) for a few months, unable to diagnose a problem after it billowed smoke whilst driving on the M1 - causing a fire scare. When figuring out a way to get me a replacement car, I spent a few hours on the phone with Land Rover Assist. Basically, in this particular place, they couldn’t care less about you. Sour and bitter experience. Glad to have got rid of the car and not have to go back in there soon.

I did not intend this review to be long but just to explain the level of service! On 3/11/18 booked my car in for a service using the online portal for 16/11/18. Received a confirmation email on the date. On 15/11/18 had a call from Sturgess so thinking they are confirming my booking for tomorrow but instead asking if I wanted to book my car for a service? Sent them the copy of the acknowledgement and very apologetic and booked it in over the phone for 7/12/18 being the earliest they could do it. Was promised a call from Service Manager but nothing. On 29/11/18 received a call to confirm my booking for 30/11/18! I said this was getting crazy and my booking was for 7/12/18. No apology offered but was rebooked for 7/12/18. On 7/12/18 my car was collected and returned that evening but as it had been parked down the side of my building, I didn't pay any attention. I know the wording is 'Courtesy Wash' but it had not been hoovered or washed. Third world problems I hear you say! Maybe even saving the Environment? What was more frustrating is that Washer Fluid warning message came on which was on in the morning! So I looked at the checklist of works which has a tick to say Washer Reservoirs checked and topped up! They were quick to ring me to say Rear Brake pads need changing at £240. To receive a call today to ask about the service I found it amusing how the lady was going to pass my feedback to the service department but she made out as if they were almost a different company by being at a different address! To make matters worse my wife enjoyed having a dig by saying great value for money from a luxury/premium brand being a Range Rover customer! Very disappointed and will take my business elsewhere on the next service for what it is worth. It can't be any worse can it? Here's hoping!
