Have had my Audi A6 Allroad serviced with Jack Barclay for the last two years, and I've had a great experience each time. Recently I had a turbo control unit fail, which I'm told is a rare failing and the car needed to be kept for 2 weeks while they got new unit shipped and software to test same. They did a fantastic job of keeping me updated, giving me a courtesy car when it was delayed and finally the bill for works rendered was very reasonable. Lastly ask for Keith. He always does a great job with consistent updates. B

DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL! Everything started a couple of months ago, when after being exhausted of unprofessional and unskilled previous mechanics I was looking on the web and I found an “Audi official garage”. After reaching them telephonically, I explained to one of the employees my issues with the car: My main issue was a starting problem that the previous mechanics weren’t able to identify and made me change already three batteries without the need of that, so I was sure it was something else at that point. Clarifying that with the employee, I’ve been reassured by the fact that he mentioned if anything was faulty after their repairs I had two years of warranty. I decided to go ahead with the first check. I left my car at the garage and after few days I’ve received a report of about £5100 where all the issues were reported. As not all of them were urgent, I went ahead with my main concern which apparently for them, was AGAIN the battery and few other things like service, changing light bulbs and rear window to fix for a total of around £1800. As the actual battery was an original Bosh purchased only few months before and still on warranty, I kindly asked them if I was able to give it back to the dealer in order to have it replaced with a new one, but the answer was “no, unfortunately we don’t put parts from others”. Embittered and desperate to have my car back as soon as possible (as they didn’t provide me any courtesy vehicle at the first check), I agreed to go ahead with the repairs. The next week I picked up the vehicle, and the same day I noticed that the starting issue was still persisting, the window was now impossible to close and the light bulb was faulty. I called them and asked for an explanation. They said to bring the car back for another check. After the second check, they realised that the starting issue was not the battery, but actually it’s the starter motor, and to fix the issues now it will cost me another £1947. From that, they started to offer me discounted amounts as if I haven’t paid already £1800 and as if it was a negligence on my part. I requested them to carry out at least the repair at their expense, as the issue was mentioned by me from the begin but my request has been rejected so I’m now considering to take legal actions against them. Next time, if you guys don’t know how to fix a vehicle, just say it at the begin, avoiding disappointments and keeping a good reputation in business.
