Terrible service and experience. We went in to part exchange my wife's car and following the valuation were simply told that it, alongside a £300 deposit, "dealt with the outstanding finance". Not once were we shown/told the actual part-ex value of the car. Thinking this was an extremely dodgy practice, we then went to a reputable dealer who performed another detailed valuation process and clearly showed us a part-ex value with over £1,500 in positive equity. Very shady business by Evans Halshaw. This was topped off by blatant disregard for peoples' personal data. We had to return the next day for the above valuation where we were told that a photocopy of my wife's drivers licence "must've been lost from my desk". Due to them being short-staffed, my wife was then asked to leave her completed finance form, containing home address, work address, telephone number, bank details, etc., on the sales person's desk while other customers were dealt with on the forecourt. Perhaps some detailed training on GDPR and the potential consequences to Evans Halshaw for malpractice with regards to personal data would be appropriate. Will not return again.

I would give it a big fat zero star but had to pick something...After speaking to two sales staff over the phone Ron and Adam was advised by both Audi A3 was in great condition no issues, Adam was very polite advised he would be on holiday but would arrange for car to be ready couldn’t do enough, Ron on the other hand had a bit of an attitude, as we were travelling from Birmingham we wanted to know as much about the car as possible but it was like it was a problem for Ron to even speak about it, should of gone with my gut feeling and the shocking reviews on the garage as once we got there, the car that was apparently in great condition had a big red stain on back seat, back seat was worn, front passenger side light was sticking out, stone chippings in front bumper, test drive lasted all of 30 seconds if that as soon as my husband started the car he knew there was a problem we drove out of the garage and turned back round there was a vibration in the clutch which apparently meant the fly wheel/thrust bearing was on it’s way out, he asked Ron why he wasn’t advised of the issues as we travelled from Birmingham he just grunted and said oh I’ll have to get it in the workshop, now if you work daily with cars Ron one would assume you would know of these issues you would check this stuff before someone comes to view, basically Ron was trying to pull a fast one and sell the car as it was to save spending the money on it. Good luck to anyone who buys from this place because I guarantee you will have problems not only from the cars but from the staff!! You think it’s Evans Halshaw it’s a legit garage but nope not this place... STAY AWAY
